I barely squeaked out of having to go inpatient a couple of weeks ago myself. My pdoc gave me the choice of going on medical leave of absence from work or checking into the psych unit. Naturally I chose the LOA, and over a week later I'm still out and will be out at least another week.
But it's been good for me, and I'm regaining my strength, though I wish I were far enough along to be able to go back to work this week. Bottom line, we ALL have to try to take good care of ourselves, not only to stay out of the hospital but because
we deserve better!!
