I used to love nights, and now with my depression getting worse and always fighting my insomnia, they just seem darker (well, literally and figuratively).
I used to be
really shy years before I was ever even depressed (like before and into the first years of college)...now that I have gotten older (into my 30s) I have found it is easier to speak up and say what I need or ask for what I want in general, including having to use the phone...I don't really like calling strangers, but it's not like I knew who I was talking to, so why not, I guess. I know where you are coming from, though, completely. I used to be unable to call and order takeout or call and ask a store how late they were open, I was too scared.
