If you can get strep throat over the age of 18, you are an anomoly, actually. I had an excellent GP for a long time who recently retired, but he explained it all to me when I told him about my scarlet fever. I get all types of things like Strep G, have you ever heard of Strep G?

So, I can even get strep from animals! Hahaha.....
Anyway, having a strep anomoly is not that uncommon.
