I agree. It's an unfortunate truth that much creative brilliance has come from the darkest reaches of society (addiciton, etc). But as long as it's not triggering to you I don't see a problem in it. I don't listen to a lot of music that references the use of drugs or alcohol because I don't see the point anymore. I don't subscribe to that lifestyle and I no longer view it as necessary to having a good time. I know some people that, upon getting sober, eschew rock music altogether because it's too triggering for them, reminds them of 'the good old days'. It's personal to everyone.
