First of all, make sure your IQ is higher than 69 but lower than 119. I was denied partly because my IQ is higher than 69. I thought about all the people I know that are on disability who don't have low IQ's and remembered that most of them had IQ's of 120 or above. So, basically, you can't get it unless you're retarded or a genius!
Any time you are out around other people AT ALL, Social Security considers it an "active social life," and disabled people are not allowed to be involved with any activity that includes or involves other people, even if it's something that a doc suggests you do, such as group therapy. So make sure you:
1. go to the grocery store when needed (because we all know that going shopping is really a social event)
2. go to A.A. and/or N.A. if you need too, because just as above, those are really social activities
3. if your therapist suggests you to get involved in group therapy, by all means, DO IT---because the judge knows that really means "Let's go PARRT-AY!!"
Oh! and don't forget to clean your bathroom because, as we all know, no one who has ever been disabled has ever cleaned a bathroom in their entire life!
And make sure you rub it in to your therapist when your meds are working for you, because if you were really disabled, your meds wouldn't work. ALSO: disabled people never benefit from following doctor's orders or suggestions, and they never have a good moment.
