No we don't have to give them any money. He went through the History channel website and had to email back and forth for days before he got the phone interview. We were told the reason for the Skype interviews were: 1) to see how photogenic you are. They said they know it isn't very PC but they have a look that they strive for. 2) They are located in Nevada and we are in Indiana so it's not like we can meet up for coffee somewhere. 3) They have asked him some oddball out there questions but they said getting to see how he reacts under pressure is crucial because they don't want someone on the show that is going to see strangers or a camera and freeze.
Trust and believe I am one of the biggest worry warts in the world and I always look for the scam in things or the downside. Hubby calls it being negative I call it being a responsible adult
Well fingers crossed for hubby. After today's interview they have to review other candidates and we will hear back within 3 weeks if he's on or not.

Just not something I've really noticed floating about. My main thought is that it's super easy to set up a con for that, since anyone can get Skype, put on some nice clothes, and talk fancy.
RDV, do you have to give them any money? If so, I'd be very skeptical.
