Thats amazing that she has the ability to suppress/not let you out. ...Usually... with DID type alters the person the alters reside with in can not control when and where their alters come out. not saying you dont exist just saying this is very unusual for DID type alters. you may find talking with your treatment providers will help you both start working together so that you both can co exist and get both needs met.
by you stating you are the dissociate what do you mean? do you mean what dissociate/dissociation means here where I am...that you feel numb spaced out, unable to feel your body parts, ...
if so there are ways that you can help yourself (alter or host) to feel less dissociate (feel less numb, less spaced out, less foggy minded, be able to feel your body parts more) its called grounding. some places call this self nurturing and other places call it reparenting. in short it means doing things that are calming and relaxing puts you back in touch with your senses of touch, smell....
example when I feel numb, spacey, foggy minded I smell apples and cinnamon, I row my canoe around the lake. ...
