Chances are you were Bipolar long before you got diagnosed. So you had a life and whatnot so realize you functioned in life prior to the "label" .

Getting the actual diagnosis I know can be a shock and then the whole starting treament and the usual merry med go round. The fear of the unknown.

Medications alone wont fix it all . Bipolar needs to be attacked from all sides. Learning coping skills will make a huge difference. Reaching out for people in real life and on here will help with the feelings of isolation. We all "get it" we understand how your feeling .

Maybe I am weird but I have seen many good things come from my Bipolar.

Learning coping skills and know how and when to use them is a huge thing, Things like Meditation and Mindfulness, Yoga, exercise what ever kind you like, getting enough sun daily,Good sleep hygiene, Breathing exercises, The list goes on and on ..

But it mainly is about how to live a wonderful life despite having Bipolar in the picture, It is possible. You will Cycle out of the bad episodes, It always cycles.

Welcome to PC You will find loads of support and helpful tips here .
