I agree about being choosy. Get to know someone before you truly accept them as a friend. But remember that no one is perfect! I used to have lots of problems with my friends dissapointing me, but after a bit of therapy I concluded that I was being judgmental towards them and not accepting them as they were. Making this shift in my thinking made all the difference, and I have several close, high quality, long lasting friendships now, and they are worth it!
