I'm not sure. Maybe they're trying to factor in if your speech problems had to do anything with your childhood and depression. I had speech problems as well and had to take speech lessons in elementary. I remember I used to hate them and tried to skip them if I had the chance. I even cried in them sometimes. My pdoc and T didn't ask me but I guess they didn't have to because I told them about my speech problems and inability to properly communicate and socialize with others in one of my first few meetings with them.
