Why does a psychiatrist ask if I had a delay with speech? Which I did. I had to take speech class for three years in elementary.

I'm not sure. Maybe they're trying to factor in if your speech problems had to do anything with your childhood and depression. I had speech problems as well and had to take speech lessons in elementary. I remember I used to hate them and tried to skip them if I had the chance. I even cried in them sometimes. My pdoc and T didn't ask me but I guess they didn't have to because I told them about my speech problems and inability to properly communicate and socialize with others in one of my first few meetings with them.
Thanks for this!
