Hello (((Blue))). This does pose a concern as food and gastric fluids already in your stomach should never be brought up through the esophagus unless the body is naturally trying to rid itself of something harmful. The gastric contents can wear the enamel off your teeth, and damage sensitive tissue in the esophagus. A ruptured esophagus is a concern as well. That's the physical problems. Purging is an eating disorder and yes you should bring it up with your therapist. You need to explore why you feel the need to do this and to try and find out the root cause of your obsession with food so that you can learn to maintain your weight in a healthy way. Overweight or not you're a special and beautiful creation. I care and I want you to take good care of you by talking with your therapist.
