I used to have a Bonsai tree but it died when I was away over the Christmas holidays, so I replaced it with a Jade plant. I'd really like to get it flowering but apparently it needs to be at temperatures under 14°C, which is not really feasible indoors.

I also had an Aloe plant recently but it died, I think perhaps it got too much sun or something because the leaves all went brown.
Living here in California I have quite a bit of experience with aloe vera and other succulents. They thrive in the sun, but too much water will turn them brown. They need only occasional watering and should never sit in water. I'm just tossing some ideas out there.
Thanks for this!
