I know he's the aggressor because I can hear their fights (and I understand what's happening far too well), but not many others would see it because he acts so reasonable and nice while she is very quiet and withdrawn. If I make a police report about it at least someone would talk to her and ask if he's hurting her... At least she'd have a chance at some help... But I know the role far too well, she's probably more likely to defend him. I did the same myself, and in the face of much worse threats...
