No shame. Nothing wrong with soaking up some calm meditation in a place built for such, and if you aren't sure if you can connect to a higher power to help with this, whether it is an external god or connecting with internal strength, do what you can to connect with that power. Just my opinion of course.

I am an atheist but I have been accepting the prayers of friends during my current struggle because even though I don't believe in an external higher power I do believe I benefit from the love and support of my friends.

And in that vein I am continuing to send my love and support to you that this goes your way... and if I'm wrong and there is a higher power maybe he'll see my caring and concern for you and add that with all of the other prayers and well wishes you are receiving.
