I realize maybe a different forum would have been better but I hang out with you guys in here the most.
Had a job interview today. It went very good. You never know, though, right? Please send positivity, prayers, good thoughts that you can spare my way. I would like this job. My parents are both gone. I hope they're proud of me. Wishing you all well! |

Good luck Lavendersage - I'll go to the store to get the ingredients for a virtual celebratory meal. How about scallops for starters, beef Wellington and then chocolate torte for dessert? You don't have to shop or cook or wash up, just eat and enjoy. Bigs hugs and all good wishes from England.

I sat in a cathedral for 2 hours after the interview praying and soaking up as much of the calm, positive energy that I could....And I'm not much of a "believer" anymore...There really are no atheists in foxholes....I realize I should probably be ashamed. Hopefully the One won't hold it against me!!

No shame. Nothing wrong with soaking up some calm meditation in a place built for such, and if you aren't sure if you can connect to a higher power to help with this, whether it is an external god or connecting with internal strength, do what you can to connect with that power. Just my opinion of course.
I am an atheist but I have been accepting the prayers of friends during my current struggle because even though I don't believe in an external higher power I do believe I benefit from the love and support of my friends. And in that vein I am continuing to send my love and support to you that this goes your way... and if I'm wrong and there is a higher power maybe he'll see my caring and concern for you and add that with all of the other prayers and well wishes you are receiving.
