Some states are way behind as far as immediate care. Texas and Florida rank at the bottom of the list. Florida just signed a Mental Heaelth Reform Bill.....don't have the specs as to what it covers. The northeast in VT, NH, NY,Mass have very good mental health programs.
Unfortunately, almost all crisis requirements have to be suicidal or homicidal. Even doctors are telling patients if you feel you need hospitalization.......tell the E.R. you are suicidal. Hopefully things will get better nationwide.
