The book that I'm reading talks about "mirror neurons" in our brains. I was trying to calm myself so I could speak calmness to her. Again. Hope that makes sense.
She sat out with us on the back patio tonight, in the midst of the fireworks, I calmed myself and spoke reassurance to her. No shaking!! She say right beside me. They were 2 streets over, but still in our space.

Just because they cant talk, doesnt mean they dont understand! That is pretty amazing! But i have had great success talking to dogs.
People, not so much!
