It works on the same receptors as klonopin so even though maybe it's not a benzo maybe your body really likes having those receptors tweaked? It just makes me feel really relaxed although when I was on a much higher dose it made me loopy. I did things like send my pdoc an email about her that was supposed to go to a friend (oops) or sent other emails that said "lkajdfaoisdfuaoid" and was sure I made sense. My dose was lowered pretty quickly then.
