My T and I had a rupture at the beginning of the year and talked and talked about it and I feel like she said some things to appease me but nothing has changed. If a therapist is destructive, narcissistic, defensive, etc., simply leaving can be the best decision, independent of one's comfort with confrontation. I got nothing but pain and sorrow in my efforts to stand up to my therapists.
