For me, it was a shock for about 10 minutes -- but of course I'm extremely worried about our future in the country, and as disabled, low income souls. After 10 minutes of shock, I determined to be part of the Resistance. I sign petitions and call politicians to get rid of the Electoral College. And I'm pushing online and in live conversations to try for positive and effective resistance methods. I write cogent, succinct letters to the editor, which get published pretty often. What did the early progressives/union organizers do in the late 19th and early 20th centuries? We need to learn how to do, and do, those effective things. I am also hoping for street theatre, like the San Francisco Mime troupe in San Francisco in the 1960s. I saw their plays/stunts many times when I lived in SF. And I've seen other street theatre events, too. I say, "Let's not spend our time grieving and in anger, but turn our grief and anger into positive resistance." We are needed!

I do a little bit. I refuse to burn myself out our allow any other activists to pressure me to do "more" than I can do in my limited time and energy. I've been an activisti since childhood, so pretty much know how to take care of myself and make a big impact.

(I still don't know what the policy is on talking politics at this forum....)
