I also want to let you know that some people with BP still have reamaining symptoms once they are technically stable. Going through the horrible delusions your boyfriend went through will likely continue to effect him. It's very traumatic stuff and it creates symptoms even while not technically in an episode. Whether or not your boyfriend and you stay together, I hope everyone who cares about him will encourage him to get the help he deserves. With treatment you MIGHT get your old boyfriend back.
