Say little or nothing about the drawing while commenting on the effort and encouraging more of it.

Say something like "Not to me!" while saying nothing at all about his or her physical attributes (assuming that is what is meant here by "attractive").

Even though I cannot say I never do it, I believe that is never necessary. Instead, I try to go more for something like "selective disclosure" as long as that does not include being deceptive or self-serving.
