Over the past couple of years I've had a physical medical oddity.

One doctor said with confidence, "Oh, this is an x."
Another doctor looked at the same and said with confidence, "Oh, this is a y."
And a third doctor looked at the same and said with confidence, "Oh, this is a z."

I am amused.

If three trained medical doctors can examine the same physical symptom and reach three different conclusions, how confident can we be in the judgements of those attempting to examine the immaterial?
