Sounds like you made a GOOD choice..like seesaw said...we sometimes keep picking people that are going to cause dysfunction without knowing it...

It seems your gut had the knowledge that this man probably wanted the green card...and for you to realize that..and make a decision to help yourself vs. helping someone else AGAIN..is HUGE..

I was also going to comment on this post that I thought you were making a mistake and it didn't sound like you were "crazy" head over heels for him..but just settling for him because he was being a good listener.

You want and need more than a good listener in a relationship..and you certainly don't want someone who has clearly stated his intention is to use some US citizen for a pass.
