Remember, there is a reason why you turn to a coping method like SI. Quitting SI isn't the main issue. You have to address the deeper feelings that the need to hurt yourself stems from, and you have to learn other ways to cope. I think it takes a lot of support in order to be able to do that, and almost always that's going to mean therapy. Recognizing what you are doing is a good place to start. It's a step in the right direction on your journey to being whole. I wish that I knew something I could tell you that would be some key to healing, and the answer that you are looking for, but if I had that, I probably wouldn't still be here. It's hard work, but your answers are out there to be found.
