Could you do some art with your feelings? For example, I had an art prompt that said "Pick a color of crayon or paint and start scribbling on the page. Let whatever happens, happen."

I picked a black crayon (bc, best describes my depression) and started scribbling on the page. 10 minutes later, I had drawn a horrific, screaming face, but ended up summing my feelings up without words. I brought it into my T, and she loves looking at my art because it sometimes says more than words.

Are words hard when speaking, or can you write it out? My T also allows me to e-mail and journal (and bring the journal in for her to read), because I can express myself so much easier through written word. That is how she has really seen how well I am doing through my written words.

Can you try any of these?
