The only time I experienced nausea because of Geodon was as part of Geodon withdrawal. I never had that side effect from taking Geodon. I took 160 mg for about 7 years, mostly split 80 mg morning plus 80 mg evening. I did at one point take all 160 mg at night (early on in response to sleepiness), but that was less effective than splitting the dose morning/evening.

Other than some sleepiness in the very beginning (that ceased), I had zero side effects from Geodon until about 5.5 years in when I developed akathisia from it. I was finally taken off of it for that reason (after suffering for a while), plus it wasn't effective enough anymore at curbing my mania or helping with sleep. I had been taking Seroquel XR along with it, plus moodstabilizers. I've heard it's plenty helpful for many, though.

Geodon withdrawal can be rough, if you've taken it at high doses for years.
