I ditched all social media about 5 years ago and it was one of the best things I've ever done, especially for my mental health. In one swift movement, I got rid of every single account and never looked back. The excuses that I would come up with as to why I needed it were absolutely ridiculous, I think. I had so many "friends" yet I only stayed in touch with 3-4 of them and I would consider them real relationships instead of internet stalking like most social media interactions. If social media is your thing, good for you. I hope it benefits your life in some way. For me the bad greatly outweighs the good. I now always try to live in a genuine manner and I hope to never go back to whatever that was.
