I have stopped his meds because they are extended release and they affect his emotions drastically. They make him a little flat during the day and emotional when they wear off in the evening. I understood, honestly, from his pediatrician that it is ok. He doesn’t have a pdoc because to this point he hasn’t needed one. ADHD meds are generally prescribed by a pediatrician.
