-----I think you were here on business, yes? There is a cluster of tall buildings near the main airport that is considered downtown. The quality of life is much better here in Phoenix than in LA.. In the west valley we still have many green fields. Exorbitant housing prices and clogged freeways have ruined LA. We lived there for 30 years, and much of that was the golden years, when it was just heavenly there. People really are more friendly here than in LA. You can just start talking to people in fast food lines, for example. In LA, they dont trust strangers at first because there really are a serious quantity of not trustworthy folk. We lived next to a sweet young couple for years. Later we found out he was pretending to be a medical student, being helped with "tuition" by her parents, etc. He actually gave me some benzos once before I was diagnosed-UNBELIEVABLE!
Cant wait to read your book. Im working on a series of books about kids visiting the National Parks, starting with the Grand Canyon here in Arizona. Im using my grandsons as main characters, along with my goofball and hilarious terrier named Dog E Dog in the book. The National Park closures are holding me back in terms of research, tho there is tons of material on the park website. I created Navajo characters for which I need to do some research. In real life, the Navajos have been hit hard by COVID up at the reservation. I need to check the GoFundMe site to see if they are getting help that way.
