Every social rules I've learned in life turned out to be false. Maybe in reality, people actually do get mad when you're nice to them the vast majority of times. And people almost never appreciates when someone gives a rats @ss about them and treats them kindly. It's just that I've always learned the opposite is true so now I have to unlearn it. See how all this is counterintuitive? It all defies common sense.
