I've never been much of a dieter. I could increase my physical activity to lose weight. I had lost 38lbs until I tore my meniscus which I used as an excuse to reduce my exercise and leave my diet. Then I broke my neck and became completely distracted. But I do think I learned something from avoiding carbohydrates. So I stopped eating white stuff and sweets. No candy, pie, cake. No potatoes, pizza, rice, bread, cereal. Sounds difficult but it wasn't. I do love all that stuff, but for some reason I didn't miss it and I will tell you why I think that was.
Without the sugar and starchy stuff which is converted to sugar, my blood glucose levels weren't spiking. I believe the hunger you feel for your next meal is due to the fall of your glucose level from the previous meal. I would wake up and do a shot of apple cider vinegar in a glass of fiber,

and skip breakfast and lunch without hunger until early afternoon. Coupled with 10 miles a day on the stationary bike and I was losing weight noticeably without any suffering. I would have a chicken breast and two veggies for dinner. Asparagus, broccoli, lima beans, green beans or brussel sprouts. For a change I would have salmon cakes. If it's white, don't bite!
There is a simple cure for hunger pangs. My cousin died of cancer around 2000. In 2020 his oldest son was diagnosed with stomach cancer. In 2008, a Geneticist from NZ discovered a single gene responsible for a lot of diffuse gastric stomach cancer. Turns out the son had the gene. Investigation revealed he got it from his father. His father from his father. The cousin's brother and one of his daughters had the gene.
They also discovered DGSC in her. Stage 4. She died in her early 30s. Cousin and several family on that side had their stomachs removed as a prophylactic measure. They eat by the clock. No more hunger.
