I know how you feel, actually. I'm failing most of my courses too, don't have many friends, and am left with just about nothing but my kitties, my gf, and school.

One thing I have to correct you on though is your opinion of counseling. Once I realized how much trouble I was in, I went to my school's counseling department. Horror of horrors, I saw people I knew in the waiting room before my first appointment! It was awkward at first, but if you just start talking to them casually, you'll find you both can relax because you're both there for the same thing

It sounds weird, but it's true. Nobody will judge you. Chances are anyone who sees you is going there too. It's most important to get what you need for yourself, and if that's getting your school back on track, go for it =D
