I am just wondering what all of you may think of having a chat just for this forum and for ppl who have loved ones who suffer also? If so, could you please set up a time when you would be able to make it. I guess I wouls have to clear it with Administration and maybe they could post it or something. But this forum is important to me like I think it is for others as a supprt group and a place to share our streangths, weaknesses and dreams for.

Well anyone who wants one can pick a time. I am avalable all the time to be there. Just may have to wake myself up in the middle of the night for it but that is well worth it for me anyway. So set a time and we can have one and then more will follow and maybe we can get more people invloved in it.

I don't know time zones....haha maybe something similar to the times the Tuesday night chat happens with DocJohn? I'm not usually home until about 7:30 Arizona time, but I could miss a meeting for a substance abuse chat! So I could be home by 6 Arizona time. Say Wednesday nights? Dunno....we need to run it by admin too. I mean we could just create a private room, but I think the right thing to do would be to run it by admin.

I don't think we'd be doing a meeting per se. There is literature that needs to be read for those. We'd have to have the lit typed up so we could copy and paste for a meeting. I think this would just be a chance for us to all meet in chat and talk in real time. Unless I'm mistaken! Allan, was it your intention to have online meetings? If so, I could ask the people at the 12 step chat how they do their online meetings.

No this was not my intention to have an AA meeting as such. Just a time for all of us to get together and share what we have, what it was like, and what we are like now. I guess it real honesty it DOES sound like a meeting but I would want it to be just a place for all of us to be able to chat and see how each is doing.

I just sent a personal message to Doc John about what would need to do about having a chat, like setting up another room, ect. I will let you know as soon as I hear from him what he says. I told him we do not have a date yet because we were waiting on what he had to say. So once we hear from him and if we get the OK, we can then set up a time for it. Hope you all are ready.

I think it's a great idea, I'm at +14 hours from the site but as long as we can all work out our times, I would certainly be up for it.

I have not heard anything back from Doc John yet. It may be that he does not know me very well to is why he is not replying to me, I dont know. Will keep you informed though.

How doea about 7:00 Central time USA sound to some of you. If that works out we can figure a day out or you can come up with a time and post it and we all can see if we can make it then.

Do you know what time that would be in Arizona?

If that is Mountain time it would be 1 hour earlier. If it is farther west then it would be 2 hours earlier then Rayna, at least I think anyway. Check google and type in US time zones maybe.
