Hey guys! I actually have a few minutes to post so I thought I'd let ya'll know what I've been up to. I've been very busy doing outreach for our young people's conference that is this coming weekend and it's getting very exciting! Tonight a bunch of us are going up to Phoenix (2 hour drive) to a couple meetings and a dance to outreach. I'm taking a girl who just got her 90 days and wants to get into service. I'm so excited! I remember my first trip to Phoenix with fellow sober girls and it was so amazing, so I'm so excited to be able to give that to her. I had to work this morning at 6:30 so I'll be exausted but that's part of the fun they all tell me haha! I also got confirmation that my apartment will be ready next month, so I'll be moving to my beautiful place up on the hill with city and mountain views! Yay! I also just got a great deal on a laptop with wireless internet, so soon I'll be able to get online at work once our internet gets hooked up. I'll get to hang out here on lunch breaks, so hopefully I'll have more time to post! Life is most excellent, a little scary because I'm not sure how I'm going to afford the move, I'll be paying double rent, but I have faith it will all work out! By the grace of my HP, I'll have 7 months sober on Thanksgiving! Anyway, love you all!!!

What an inspiring post! I've just passed my 90 day mark and am so thrilled to have some optimism in my life. It's been about 5 years since I've been sober for this length of time. The period in between filled with angst, guilt, stops and starts, etc. that we're all familiar with.

I finally went to an Intensive Outpatient Programme, take Campral, and am attending Women For Sobriety face to face meetings. Reading daily inspirations helps me to focus for the day ahead. My dx is bipolarII, GAD, and panic attacks. I take Cymbalta, Lamictal, Ambien, and a smidgen of Xanax as needed.

Hello to all.

Ray…
I guy asked me what was he suppose to do with all the time he was going to have on his hands after he got sober. It seems he spent about as much time plastered as I did, and if he wasn’t drinking, he would have all this unused time to deal with.

I told him that there aren’t enough hours in the day to get all the things done that I want to do.

Ain’t it grand. I am so proud of you, Tucking yourself between a sponsee and your sponsor is about the best place you could be.

It is such a pleasure watching your growth.

Ah....thank you all so much for telling me I'm an inspiration, knowing what I am doing is helping others never ceases to amaze me. Phoenix was great; I got to watch my program in action after the night kinda fell apart and the plans completely changed and I had split second decisions to make. I was able to use all my tools to keep me sober and safe, and it was truly amazing to see my program really work. I came right home and straight to sponser's house-the next day-after I had planned to come home that night. Long story short, there was a turn of events and the girl that road with me decided to go back with some other members and I stayed in Phoenix with a guy in the program. After some serious praying for guidence, the decision to stay with him rather then tackle the drive home at 2am exausted and alone was made and I slept on his couch. We both worked our program hard so we'd have no regrets the next day, and finally cleared the air that friendship only is in our future. The fact that I ended up staying at a guy's apartment in a strange city put me close to the edge of the roof. It could have gone bad if we both hadn't of been spiritually fit, so I'm extremely greatful at how the weekend worked out. It was a learning experience for sure, to see what I'll do differently in the future, and to see that my program works not only for keeping me sober, but keeping me from reverting to old behavior just because it's familiar and I know how to do it. Tonight I stuffed welcome packets for the conference. A project we all thought would take forever, and only took about 45 minutes....what a difference it is when you all work together with a common goal. The conference is almost here! I'm very excited, but I'll also be releaved when it's done, and then we'll be forming a brand new permanent standing young peoples commitee to have events year round for fun unity and service. I have truly found the fun in sobriety, and I am so greatful! Thank you all for being a part of my sobriety today. =)

thank you for continuing to share the positives in your life that have come about with sobriety.........or at least shown themselves with sobriety Excited

so proud of the work you're doing on you. what an investment in your future you're making here! awesome!!

helps to read the positives when our home situation contains the flaming wreckage of another's alcohol abuse. good reminders that ppl can change when they're ready and with the right mix of support for them.

good job Rayna!! Excited

Seriously, the credit lays with my HP and my fellows in the program. Without their support, I wouldn't be this far. The only thing I've done is agree to be teachable. Thanks for allowing me to share my life with you all. =)
