Well....if I make it past Valentine's Day, I will have stayed sober through Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, my Mom's anniversary, Halloween, Thanksgiving, my Mom's Birthday, Christmas Eve, Christmas, my birthday, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day for the first time in over 6 years. I was so greatful this New Years, so be sober, with my best friend at an Alano Club Dance, remembering the whole night....ah....so, one more "holiday" and I will have experienced them all. I lead my first big meeting today at my homegroup, totally spontaneously, not expecting to do it, it was great! And I'm getting ready to start sponsering, as soon as a newcomer finds me. Thank you all so much for being a part of my first year! Just remember, no matter how much time each of us has, for every one of us this was our first day sober in 2006. It's time for new beginnings for all of us! Congratulations to everyone for staying sober through the new year, and to the "normies" who read this thread, I hope you had a most excellent new year's as well, and thank you for sharing this with us!!! I love you all!

Thanks Zorah! My friend reminded me that I've got 2 holidays haha, St Patrick's day too, but I was never much into it, it was just a day and I drank every day so it was no difference. Never did have green beer. =) Hopefully never will.

Rayna, you have come a long ways in your travels and I have seen some remarable things happen along the way. You have done the things you needed to do in order to stay sober and that is no easy task. Holidays for me were when I would NOT go out because I thought that was when the ametures were out and didnt want anything to do with them. Be proud of how far you have come one step at a time and never forget where you were before and what it was like.
