i am looking for people who have used robitussin to get high to share what that experience is like to compare with an experience i had earlier this week to determine if i had a break from reality or if it was from taking too much cough syrup for my cold. i really dont think i went above the recommended dosage, but still i took some everytime i woke up coughing so maybe i woke up more than i thought. even so, i didnt take more than half a bottle.
essentially, i woke up not feeling right so i called in sick to work. i stayed in bed to rest. when i closed my eyes i got caught up in a moving spiral. it was like i was in the front car of a roller coaster. there was somebody with me that was narrating the whole trip. we zoomed thru colored sunsets and thru walls and tunnels of great architectural buildings. as i questioned what was going on all my questions were incorporated into the dialogue. i would get really caught up in the trip, but eventually shake it off and open my eyes and it would be over. the minute i closed my eyes a new trip would start very similar to the others. i questioned myself if i needed to call T about this and the voice told me yes that i should call T. During the last trip, there were about five, I said to myself it was almost as if the voices had come back. At that moment, a line of cancan girls came bursting forth dancing and singing "yes, were back, were back, you thought you could get rid of us, but were back." after i got out of bed, my mind was just tumbling all over itself. the next day was a bad day, but it could be just from worry of going crazy again. I have been fine since then. So I am wondering, could this have been caused by the cough syrup or did I finally break from all the stress? |

Sounds like an intense fever/sick dream to me. I agree with you it does not sound like you used enough cough medicine to cause a problem but I don't know what other meds you are/were taking? Sometimes combinations can cause problems. I know I had problems with pain killers after an operation, quit taking them because I did not like how I felt.
