So on Friday when I got 11 months, I just got so overwhelmed! There's so much going on in my life, and I've come so far, and I'm coming up on a year. I had this thought that wow, I'm really committing to this thing. I committed from the start...but the realization hit me that I'm truly a sober member of AA. I get overwhelmed with how much I've accomplshed, with how much I've changed....first year stuff? Anybody experience that when you approached your first year? Richard??? LOL

Rayna, I am so very proud of what you have accomplished. 11 months!

I remember that feeling you talked about. That feeling that I am really in AA, not just close, but really in. It felt good, It still does.

The one difference between then and now is I have quit evangelizing. I used to tell every drunk I met, with stars in my eyes, and brimming with enthusiasm, that there is a solution. Now, I just give them a buck or so, and wish them luck.

You are a rare woman Rayna, do you know that? Not many get to 11 months. It has been a total gas to watch you grow. Stay on the sober side of the choices you face.

Your friend,
Richard

Richard, you've been instrumental in my recovery. You know the guy at the meeting that you hope will share this time? You're him. Thanks. =)
