I wrote a poem not too long ago. It might not be spectacular, but I thought all of you could relate to this...

*********************************************************************************************************
((not titled yet lol))

When I was young, it seemed right to do what is wrong…
To take shots from that jager, to take hits from that bong,
To pop pills in the morning and party all night long…

Now it’s six years later and I’m lost in this sea…
Drowning in self pity, praying I’ll still breathe,
The dark abyss within me sucking all of my integrity…

I glare in the mirror…and who stares back isn’t me…
She’s scared and she’s ANGRY, all alone with this need.

*********************************************************************************************************
...I'm not Edgar Allen Poe...but I thought it was insightful.
