and impressed!
At my meeting last night a member I have known a short while, shy type, actually did the "partage"!
In english I don't know the word.... the 2nd half of the meeting where someone talks infront about themself...
This person is only 4 mnths abstinant and it looked like this person had been doing it for yrs!
I don't see myself up there....and it has been a few yrs in the movement.
I was completely amazed and very impressed...
just something I felt like sharing, hope everyone is well,
Patricia

Some people get the program fast I wish that I was like that but I was not. Page 83 i believe is the promises it will explain a little bit. I for one was not as lucky to have the program to come easy. and that is one of the reasons I dont let it go so fast. For me it had to be hard because when things come easy I do not keep them long. I am an alce sometimes things have to hammered in to relalize it . But one thing I believe in the program everyone Has to go through everything they go through to get where they are going in the program. the sppace someone is in. will not stay at growing in the progam is an everyday thing. So people in the program are exactly where they are supposed to be at the time. Have a God Day.

I'm also one that is taking a long time....
Denial, acceptance..... I'm back and fourth...
I don't think I will be capable of moving forward until I have truely accepted being an alcoholic (shiver)... it is still hard for me to say...
I am a believer in the "mode de vie", I think it applies to everyone, not just AA members.

Keep coming back Patricia! And thank you for posting so much here. You're helping me more then you realize by sharing your journey. It takes me back to my first week sober. I need to be reminded of this, so please keep posting! How many days is it today?
