I know it's not really all that long, and not normally a milestone that's marked, but I'm really happy about it. Since getting sober, this time, I've through a 3 week partial hospitilzation program, repeated rehab, moved into a subsidized sober living place, downsized significanlty, packed up what was left and put it in storage, gone bankrupt, and had all my bank accounts frozen. It's been a ride. But I'm sober, one day at a time, and feeling really good about it.

splitimage 5 months it is a very long period of time being sober for so many ppl. it gives hope to those still struggling to stay sober or those brand new to sobriety. it is is an accomplishment well worth recognizing. you're putting one foot in front of the other and those days add up as you already know.
your post reminded me of something. when i kept coming back after i drank i would kick myself. my sponsor told me "everything you've already learned in AA is still up in your head." i found she was right. i was able to use the tools i'd already learned.
thank you for sharing your milestone with us.

For some folks 5 days are important...I think celebrating every 30 days is a worthwhile endeavor, especially if your life is getting better one day at a time. Well done, indeed!
