If everyone who has a drinking "problem" here has been tested for hypoglycemia? I just read an article where the doctor stated that EVERY alcoholic he has tested has shown positive. Almost seems too easy, doesn't it?

That's because alcohol has high levels of sugar. When we drink, our body says "too much sugar" and dumps our storage, therefore causing hypoglycemia. When I was drinking, I had INTENSE problems with food, couldn't eat food high in carbs or sugar unless I had a lot of protein to follow it. My heart would raise, hands would shake, dry mouth, headache, etc etc etc. A week into sobriety the problem vanished. Took the alcohol away and away went the hypoglycemia. A lot of alcoholics are looking at this latest study as a cure all to their alcoholism. Fix the hypoglycemia and I can drink normally? No. Quit drinking and fix the hypoglycemia. If you fixed the hypoglycemia and I picked up a beer, before you knew I'd finish a 12 pack and God only knows what would happen next. I mere sugar problem would not stop the obsession to drink. It's not the cure. That's my humble and scientific opinion.

scientific, genetic,..... many arguements, no proof.
We hear every day that this and that are being proven to be deadly, unhealthy, etc.
MEAT...watch out...
WATER...watchout...
CERTAIN MEDS... watch out...
VEGGIES with prod's...watch out...
seems to me that EVERYTHING toady is a health hazard and people are reacting...
Personally I think that our immune system is there for a reason... and if health problems occur with our immune system in tact.... watch out... problem.
