Well that may be one way to find out. of course you would not find out right away many are not able to find out fast. Or jsut do not relalize it.It does not take someone that is out in the street only drinking to be at a bottom there are many bottoms. and yets When I first went to AA I was in a state hospital. In there I was takeing something for coming out of drinking so much. I took mine and two other peoples meds they did not want them. so I was back in heaven and high at the same time. when I went to the Dr. on duty now in the hallway I had bounced off the walls really from one side to the other. and the pdoc said I may not be an alce what great news that was. after I got out it was another from 1978- 1990 I got to prove to myself I was when did it start might have been the day I got out in 1978 or a long time before. I know I changed when I drank and used drugs thats what make me one not the amount of use I had. Hope this may answer a little of the questions you had.

AA 's only requirement is a desire to stop drinking.

I would like an AA chat room as long as it follows same requirements and rules.

What I had been thinking on this certain days and times a real meeting. and if someone wanted to chair, the requiremant would be at least one year sober. but yes I agree . also other times when a meeting is not scheduled it would be AA related. Also one requirement would be if you are drunk or drinking you can not speak.

We've talked about this here before but it has yet to happen. I think if we create a private room it'd be the best way to do it. Wouldn't be able to have a meeting in the main room with people coming in and out. If you're up to starting this, get in touch with the Doc or some mods for some suggestions. I think it's a great idea if we can manage it.

I would like an AA meeting and would like it if we could get one going here. I do not know how to go about it but support it and will do what I can. 1 year sober if that is agreed upon for leading meetings ok but know I was told at 6 months I'd better get involved in fact gave first lead. I have neither at this time but looking for support. Been mostly in but out at times of AA since 1986-2003
2003-2006 mostly drinking some using have been trying to quit drinking/using with little success. mlyn |

i'm very interested in this.. i *think* i'm an alcoholic.. but either arent sure or in denial.. hey i *love* drinking.. if i admit that i have a problem.. i'd have to stop right?
![]() i have an incredibly hard time verbalising my thoughts and feelings, and such, plus i'm really scared to actually *go* to a meeting. also dont want to admit i've a problem cuz then others will wanna control my drinking. having said that tho.. i would love to be in control of my drinking, -and pot smoking- and if the only way is to stop altogether, i'd much rather know this sooner rather than later. (i have a sneaking suspicion that i already know thats the only way) ~M |

HI all. I would definately be interested in an on line meeting. Am willing to help any way I can. I will be 2 yrs sober in AA this August. How will the preamble and steps etc be "read"? I wonder if the World Service Office has any suggestions or guidelines? Keep me posted on progress and let me know what I can do to help with getting things going. Take care all MartheH
