So, I know the first question I will get is, "where in the world do you work??" I can't answer that, but I can say that what happened is not uncommon at my job! Anyway, yesterday, a producer of some very high-end vodka walked into my office and gave me a gigantic bottle, plus a couple of shot glasses, to thank me for some work I had been doing. On Thursday I'll have two weeks sober! Cue the "wah wah" cartoon music! How come this never happened when I was drinking?!

Anyway, I struggled hard with what to do. Thankfully, vodka has never been my thing. If it had been tequila or wine, that might have been a different story. Eventually I put it in our supply closet for industry give-aways. Seeing the humor and the irony kind of got me through that one.

On another note, I've really gotten into root beer lately. Another friend who has gotten sober is now really into tea and kombucha. Have any of you found yourself becoming "addicted" to a safe replacement substance?

For me, it's Diet Caffeine free Pepsi. If I don't have my pepsi, I'll go BESERK! I don't know what there is about it, but I just LOVE the stuff. And obviously since it's caffeine free, it's not the caffeine that I crave. LOL

It's sure alot better for us than Tequila, Whiskey, Rum, or my favorite Beer!

I sure don't miss those days.

Caliope ~ I'm SO proud of you!! Congrats on 2 weeks sober! Even tho your drink of choice wasn't the vodka, you turned it down anyway. If it had been ME, I would have taken it home and drank it anyway. That's just the way I was. So I am REALLY proud of you! You passed the test! LOL

God bless & please take care. And as our group says, keep on keepin on!

Love, Lee
