Went cold turkey yesterday off of painkillers. Kind of ironic because now Im feeling the pain of not having any pills to take. Extremely depressed not to mention being sick. Head is throbbing and taking advil isn't helping relieve the pressure. I've gone through withdrawals before though. It's just that this time I'm depressed on top of it and not sure how to handle this exactly. I refuse to go in and detox the proper way. Don't need any attention brought to me where others will find out about my using. Guess I'm hoping someone on here will have advice on how to alleviate the symptoms and make this more manageable

Going cold-turkey on some painkillers can be VERY dangerous, depending on what they are, and what the dosage was. I would suggest you either call your doctor or go to the ER, because you could end up having seizures.!!! This CAN be very serious -- you should have WEANED off these painkillers instead of cold-turkey!!

Call or go to the ER just to be safe. Otherwise, it could be an emergency situation. It's better to be safe than sorry. God bless & take care. Hugs, Lee
