I hope you got some help! Rainbow is so pretty and surrounded with all the grapes and wineries. The alcohol is all around us and the center of every party and event and the symbol of good times. It is hard to NOT drink. I can't help you but only wish you success in your fight with the bottle.

ADHD: first off, welcome to PC. I can see that you're new here.
It took me years of trying to quit and even a couple of rehab attempts to get stopped. Then it took several types of therapies and support groups to stay stopped. If you drink alcoholically, and have an alcoholic mind, prepare to do a bit of work to get out of it. But it's not impossible. Are there any options where you live in terms of help?

I had a battle with alcohol, I had to cut myself off from all my friends, my "drinking buddies", so then I felt alone. I really liked the way alcohol made me feel. Maybe you will need to make some new friends along the way, find some new things that spike your interest more than the way alcohol makes your mind feel.....it does take a lot of effort and mind power to break that addiction, once you are hooked, it is really really rough. Best of luck to you, it is a big battle, but I am sure you are a warrior.

I love AA's 12 step progam and know a ton of people who swear by it!
Thanks for this!
