Hi all
I am really really struggling. I have been abusing pain killers recently instead of my usual drug and can't stop taking them. It's Tremadol .....my husbands pain killer actually but he only takes then every other day so he has some to spare. I can't face a day without hitting something up and recently started abusing my sleeping tablets again. I feel like such a dirty junkie.   Anyone else been addicted to pain killers or even tramadol? I guess it's good I'm off other opiate drugs but now I have found another addiction

I have never used painkillers but I'm no stranger to addiction. Have you thought about seeking outside help? Detox/recovery? Inpatient/outpatient?

  Sometimes we're not strong enough to do it on our own and need to seek help. There's no shame in that. Just take it one day at a time!

I have to agree...Outside help sounds like the answer, you can't be trading one drug for another addiction is addiction no matter what. I hope you get the help you need before you lose everything. You are not a dirty junkie that is the drug trying to make you think that. I am here if you need to talk.
