Today is my 2 year anniversary. I can't believe its been 2 years already! I still remember hanging out in the chatroom here drunk. Yuck!!! 2 years!!!!!!!!!! PC has been instrumental in my recovery, one day at a time!!!!

Thanks for asking - not a poster child for sobriety yet, i had another relapse but as of today I have 37 days sober & I keep telling myself that this time I'll make it. The alternative is too awful to contemplate.

Good things happen to people like us when we don’t drink. I am so proud of you.

Just remember Ray, the two year mark is the one you need to watch out for. :-)

In my home group, the running gag is whenever somebody has a birthday, no matter what year, they are always greeted with, “Watch out for year number (fill in the blank), that is the danger year.” Always followed by a round of laughter.

Again, congratulations on hitting the big #2!

Thanks everyone!!! It was a great night at my homegroup. A bunch of friends came who I wasn't expecting. I got a bunch of cards and a tshirt with the AA triangle in a trible design - very cool! It'll be a celebration for a week. My sponsor told me when I when I got my first year to get a chip at every meeting for a week, to show the newcomer it works, and to stockpile chips to give to sponsee's down the road. I have the chips all over my apartment, so now I can to add the 2 year chips!!

Splitimage, I knew of your relapse and am so proud of your 37 days! 38 now right? Its nothing to squack at. Someone who can't even get a week will look at 37 days and think, ok maybe its possible. And in my opinion, you are a poster child of sobriety, because you had a slip, BUT YOU CAME BACK. Many people who have slips never come back and we don't know if they're just still using, or dead. All any of us have is today. Some of us might have more days behind us then others, but all of us just have today. You're awesome for coming back, and you CAN do it, one day at a time. Keep trudgin, and keep posting. I know I utilized this forum A LOT when I was brand new and it helped IMMENSELY. Now I have a 2 year chip to prove that it works, and seriously, without PC, it would have been much harder. Post your questions and remember that you're helping us by letting us be of service to you. I am VERY proud of you!!! I love watching your journey so please keep sharing!!!

Way to go Ray. You have done a lot of work to get to where you are today. For me, thinking back, 2 years seemed like a lifetime. But taking itt one day at a time time goes by and you gain streangth and wisdom. Your posts have helped me to keep moving forward all the time. Keep up the good work and pass it along as you go. It works if you work it.
