Hi people,
I'm interested if someone had these experiences, for example, using drugs for a short time (not marijuana) and deciding to abstain, and after about a week to 10 days, a simple coffee has this huge weird effects like chills, drastic paranoia, hyperactivity, fear, conspiracy doubts... (so definitely not happy or productive feelings). Anybody has an idea what could it be, a term, or where to read about it? Thanks |

Here's an article from the archives, but without mention of those side effects.
http://psychcentral.com/blog/archive...your-thinking/ It is a stimulant. Doesn't sound like a reaction to coffee nor soda, perhaps an energy drink could have such side effects? Have you spoken with your doctor about this, during your detoxification? |

Thanks healingme4me, there are many effects explained.
The thing is, one of my female neighbors also avoid drinking coffee, and when I ask her why she doesn't drink, she say that coffee makes her nervous. I didn't wanted to go into details cause she told me that her husband had drug issues before they got children, but maybe she has the same issue as I am. Or maybe I'm just projecting... Something tells me that coffee may have this influence on behavior (in a after-using-drugs period) cause some of the brain chemistry is still recovering and is sensitive to any changes. I don't know what chemistry exactly, but maybe the same centers that were impacted with other drugs. Just maybe... |
